PC Gamer September Issue 2006 page 113
Good adventure games are about as scarce as genuinely free things
on the internet, so rejoice that this game is genuinely both.
It's neither the kind of 'free' that requires credit card details
nor the kind of 'good' that's an indulgent pat on the head:
quality for nothing! It's just possible the world may end now!.
No....seems OK.
That night before is a traditional 2d adventure that’s
self-knowingly silly rather then just silly. And as long as
you carefully examine each (rather attractive) screen for useful
things and take a lateral approach to problems - like trying
to distract a dog with a lava lamp rather then the more conventional
juicy steak- you'll get closer to tracking down your missing
girlfriend.
Was she really kidnapped by aliens? Will the FBI agent succeed
in pinning her disappearance on you? Do you want to use the
caffeinated cheese on the rat? The answer to the last question
at least, is yes.
